La Vita `E Bella

Hey everyone! Things are going great in the Bluhm household! The last two weeks we have been staying busy and working our 4 day weeks. It means that we are really tired when we get home from work, but it also means that we get three day weekends. So far we have had two that were really incredible. The first one, was July 4Th weekend. We ended up going down to the river with my family, riding four wheelers and cooking out. The next day we played a lot of games that kept us laughing for hours, and then had a Hot Dog celebration at my Aunt and Uncles House. (You know us Italians like to eat! ;)) On Sunday, we went to church services with my Aunt and Uncle and then left to get back to Athens.

Last weekend was really great too. It started out with us going to the Ranger Baseball game on Thursday night against the L.A. Angels. Unfortunately, the rangers lost, but Adam and I had a great time. We got 6$ seats, got to see fireworks, and even saw an older man in a Sosa jersey dancing like he was on soul train. On Friday we went to the hospital to see one of Adams' best friends, Ubil. He is on the heart transplant list and really needs a heart soon. We made him a nice gift package with some candy, sudoku, and those funny glasses with the nose and mustache attached. I'm hoping we cheered him up a little. Friday night and Saturday was a blast because we got to stay at my brothers house and we played Rock Band and FIFA almost the entire time. I love how I'm turning my little baseball player into a soccer lover. :)

As far as work goes, Adam has been mowing a lot and thanks to God there has been rain so that he has work to do! As for me, I got an opportunity to be on the news last week, talking about dating violence, and hopefully many kids saw that broadcast and make an outcry if they are victims. Thank you, everyone, for continuing to pray for our job situation! We know that God is good ALL of the time, and that He "works out all things for the good of those that love Him and are called according to His purpose!" - Romans 2:28. Without a doubt we are needed here and as soon as we are needed somewhere else more, an opportunity will come up. Our hopes are not down and we are enjoying every moment here that we have. We are taking things one day at a time and praising God through it all.

i thank You God

for most this amazing day:

for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky;

and for everything

which is natural which is infinite which is yes!

(i who have died am alive again today)

and this is the sun's birthday;

this is the birthday of life and love and wings:

and of the gay great happening illimitable earth)

how should tasting touching hearing seeing breathing any

--lifted from the noof all nothing--
human merely being doubt unimaginable You?

(now the ears of my ears awake and now the eyes of my eyes are opened) - e.e. cummings
