You Make All Things New.

Today is my 27th Birthday.

That's crazy.
Life goes by so incredibly fast.

It seems like just yesterday, I was sitting on the front steps with my brother.

{ Don't let the "brother just pulled my hair" face fool you. I was a happy kid.}

And now, I am the wife of an amazing man, a community manager for the American Cancer Society that raised $485,000 for the fight against cancer this year, and most importantly,
A follower of Christ.

Some people don't like to celebrate birthdays. To them, it is just another day that comes and goes and makes them one year older. But after gathering around my best friend and her new little baby on Friday, I was reminded that the gift of life is so much more significant than we could ever imagine.

Today, I choose not to celebrate the day that I was brought into the world necessarily, but the chance that I was given to make a difference in this place. I don't want to celebrate the number of years that I have made my way through, but the number of souls that I hope to bring to my Lord. And today, when I look at those candles on my birthday cake, they will not signify the years in my life, but the light that I am determined to shine for others...

...The life in my years.
