You can all call me Crazy.

A week or so ago, our office went to a Regional Meeting in Lufkin and part of our reason for going was to talk about our StrengthsFinder tests, what we found out that our strengths were, and how we could use them to succeed in our job. I won't tell you all five of my top strengths out of the 34, they aren't all that important to me. But I will tell you my number one.

Belief.

{aren't you just so Shocked?}

As we sat around the table that day discussing what our hopes and dreams are in life, I let the other ladies around the table know exactly what I am after.

It's true. I want to change the world.

They all got a pretty good laugh out of it. They chalked it up to me being "young" and "innocent". And although, yes, I would like to think that I am both of those things, I didn't feel that I had the time to explain to them exactly what I meant. I'm guessing that they might think that I look at the world through rose colored glasses, not yet experiencing all of the heartbreak and pain that this place has to offer.

Oh, if they only knew the things I've already seen.

But you see, I have a hope in me that nothing in this world can take away.

"I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints."
- Ephesians 1:18

They are right. I might not be able to make an impact on every life here on this earth. I might not even be able to impact 10 of them. But if I can show light and love to just one hurting person, if I can show an empty soul the piece that they are missing ...

and the Peace that they are missing,

(in my King, my Love, my Redeemer)

then I have began to change the world.

Sometimes a man imagines that he will lose himself if he gives himself, and keep himself if he hides himself. But the contrary takes place with terrible exactitude.
-Ernest Hello

So I continue to hope. I take the risk. I might be remembered here on this earth as the silly girl who had her head in the clouds.
But everyone is known for something.

I want to be known for my belief.
In others. In my God. In myself.

"You’re the one who gets to choose
How much of you you’ve got to lose..."

I was surprised Belief wasn't one of mine, but I totally see that in you :)

  3. Everyone wants to change the world. Me? I just want to change someone's world. I think that would be enough.
