I don't believe in coincidence.

So as I was walking to my car from my Relay For Life meeting tonight, I stopped to pick up a folded piece of purple paper on the ground, thinking that because it was purple that it was related to Relay and possibly belonged to one of my volunteers.

But it didn't.

This is what it said.

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.
- Mother Teresa

On a side note, tomorrow is my Birthday.
6 years.
6 years ago, I received the gift of Life.
It was the best decision I ever made.

  1. Such a beautiful post. That Mothera Theresa was such a wise woman. Its so much easier to worry about what they think and forget about what God will say. Thank you for the encouragement. Praise be to God for your birthday!

  2. That is absolutely beautiful. I love when you randomly find something so touching. It can brighten your day and remind you why you strive for the good in life, even when it seems the whole world might be against you for it. :)

    God Bless!
