My Love Letter

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
(Matthew 11:28-30)

When I first wake up in the morning, any day during the week, I do something kind of funny. The first thing I do when I come out of the bedroom is look all around the house. I look by my purse or around my computer ... looking for a sweet letter from Adam. Just in case he decided to wr
ite me a love letter that morning and place it where I could find it. You know, something short and sweet. A couple of days ago, I realized how incredibly silly I was for always looking for something written to me. I know he does not have the time to do something like that, and I'm confident that if he did, he would. So instead, I replaced my longing for a little note in the morning, with opening my Bible and reading a love letter from God. When this verse above is what I opened to this morning, my eyes filled with tears. Rest for my soul ? With everything that has been happening this last week, it was just what I needed to hear. So I thought I would share it with all of you that might need a comforting note today. Remember, we serve an awesome God that will always take our burdens and make them light.

...and ... He's never too busy to write you a love letter.

Have a beautiful Friday!! :)

  1. Her Sister, this is exactly what I needed. I know that God has everything in control and knows what is best for us. It is hard to let go and not think about how scard I am of not having a healthy baby and healthy/save delivery. It scares me. What if I do something wrong. You are such a great writer. Your letters are always encouraging. Thank you, for your note. I need to let go of my fears and just give it to God. Love you.
